Crypto Expected to Enter New Age of Adoption in 2025
Hashdex co-founder Bruno Caratori anticipates that the coming year will demonstrate the broader utility of cryptocurrencies beyond bitcoin. He highlights the rise of stablecoins and real-world asset (RWA) offerings, noting that RWA on-chain totals nearly $14 billion while stablecoin value exceeds $200 billion.
Caratori states that stablecoins are “easy enough” for everyday use. He predicts that stablecoins could facilitate everyday transactions in the US by next year, partly due to Circle's potential public market entry in 2025, which he believes could be a significant event in crypto similar to Coinbase's IPO. This move may enhance resources for ecosystem investment and improve credibility through partnerships like that with Stripe.
If widespread adoption occurs, Caratori suggests that the traditional boom-bust cycle in crypto might end. He acknowledges the prevailing belief in a four-year cycle but argues that increased governmental and institutional participation could lead to stabilization in the market. He expects the first practical applications of crypto to materialize for the public as a result.
