Altcoin rotation signal returns as Bitcoin dominance stays at 58%
CrypFlow says the same setup that preceded the last two altcoin seasons is back. The Others/BTC chart broke out. Momentum is rising.
In an X post, the analyst points to a familiar pattern: a falling-wedge breakout on the “Others vs Bitcoin” chart followed by Squeeze Momentum flipping green. He notes this alignment preceded the 2017 and 2021 alt runs.
But this cycle diverged. Squeeze Momentum stayed red for years after the 2021 peak. That delayed any broad altcoin season.
CrypFlow says the “Others/BTC” pair has now broken another multi‑year falling wedge, with momentum turning up. If Squeeze flips green, the same conditions that triggered prior altcoin expansions could return again.

It’s not altseason yet. The Altcoin Season Index reads 49. The threshold is 75, when 75% of the top 50 coins outperform Bitcoin over the period.
Other analysts weigh in. Javon Marks sees early-stage alt setups that rhyme with prior cycles.
CW says Ethereum is finishing an eight‑year convergence and will break it during this bull market. “Investors do not remember how strong the 2017 altcoin season. The 2026 Alt Season will be stronger than 2021.”
Benjamin Cowen urges focus on Bitcoin. Over time, “everything… bleeds back to the king,” he wrote on X.
