Bitcoin posts weekly close above 21-week EMA, faces $78,000 resistance

min

BTC closes marginally above its 21-week EMA. $78,000 still caps rallies. The next weekly close will set the short-term path.

Bitcoin reclaimed the 21-week EMA on the weekly close, per Rekt Capital. The breakout had little room for a clean retest, leading to a sharp downside wick below the EMA, a volatile shakeout seen in prior retests source.

Price wicked toward $73,000, near the Double Bottom top, keeping action anchored to key structure source. If the current levels hold into the weekly close, the EMA retest looks successful. A close back below the 21-week EMA would scrap the bullish setup and risk a deeper move into the low $70,000s source.

$78,000 is the near-term ceiling. Each push stalls there, keeping a pullback risk alive while below that level source. Attempts toward the $80,000 target zone continue, but momentum is not yet sufficient for a sustained break, says Crypto Candy.

If momentum fades, price could revisit $73,000. That area remains key support in the current structure source. A clean break above $78,000 would reopen $80,000.
