On Monday, BTC crossed $80,000 for the first time since late January, touching ~$80,529, after Trump announced “Project Freedom” tied to the Strait of Hormuz. US Navy escorts supported commercial transits, per coverage NewsBTC recap.

The move faded. Fars reported a missile strike on a US warship near Jask; US officials denied any ship was hit. BTC lost the breakout and slipped back toward the high‑$78ks same source.
