Bitcoin targets $97,000 after $72,000 support retest
Bitcoin breaks the 4h downtrend and holds the rising support. Bulls control the short-term structure.
The move came above a long descending line. Structure turned more bullish on the 4h chart per TradingView analysis. First mention: Bitcoin.
But no clean retest yet. Price left the $71,900–$72,000 demand untested per the same setup.

Base path: retest $71.9k–$72k. Then expansion toward at least $97,400 per the target shown.
Invalidation sits at $67,500. A break below signals failed breakout per NewsBTC.
Flows support the bounce. US spot BTC ETFs saw $630M inflows on May 1 per NewsBTC.
Price briefly topped $80,000. A daily close above $80,000 would be the first expansion signal per NewsBTC.
Major confirmation sits at the 200DMA. It’s near $83,600, last reclaimed in Oct 2025 per Bitcoin Magazine Pro.
