Coinbase trades Bitcoin below Binance, signaling weak US demand above $70K

Binance leads Coinbase on price while Bitcoin holds $70K. The spread says US bid is soft.

An Arab Chain–tracked feed shows a negative Binance–Coinbase gap. Binance prints $70,747. Coinbase shows $70,533. The spread is -$213.95 today. Source: CryptoQuant Quicktake. First read looks bullish. The geography says caution.

This gauge is old and reliable. A Coinbase premium has preceded sustained uptrends in prior cycles. US buyers paid up, and price held higher. See NewsBTC on past cycles.

Now it’s inverted. The discount is small, but it persists. That implies global flow supports price, while US demand lags. CryptoQuant flags this persistence, not the size.

The report frames a binary. If the spread stays negative, downside pressure builds from absent US bids. If it flips positive, that turn signals US liquidity back in market. A held level turns into a floor.

Price action echoes the caution. Bitcoin consolidates above $70K after February’s breakdown. The bounce stalled at $74K–$75K. The 50-day and 100-day MAs slope down. The 50-day now acts as resistance. Volume on the recovery is lighter than on the selloff.

The range is tight. Above $75K, structure shifts. Lose $70K, and $65K reopens with little support in between.
