GLD posts record $3B outflow; Bitcoin ETFs see $900M inflows
GLD saw a record one-day $3B outflow. At the same time, BTC ETFs drew cash.
The largest US gold ETF, SPDR Gold Shares (GLD), posted a -$3.0B single-day outflow. It exceeded any comparable daily exit over the past two years by 200%+ according to The Kobeissi Letter.
Silver ETFs saw small outflows, while Bitcoin ETFs saw modest inflows on that day per the same source.
Traders are watching the BTC/gold ratio. Michaël van de Poppe highlights a confirmed bullish divergence and a break higher, signaling waning selling pressure in his update.

Binance Research frames the current volatility as an “opportunity within risk” for BTC. It notes BTC’s recent correlation with oil and US equities amid geopolitical stress, and that US spot BTC ETFs make up roughly 9% of total BTC trading volume. For comparison, ETFs account for 30–40% of US equity trading volume per Binance Research.
A key level is on the board. Binance Research points to $78,000 as the reclaim needed to confirm a broader trend reversal in its note.
