MARA sells 15,133 BTC to fund AI computing; Bitcoin falls below $69,000
Marathon (MARA) sold 15,133 Bitcoin for about $1.1B. The miner will repurchase $1B convertibles and move into AI/HPC.
The sale covered Mar 4–25. Marathon disclosed the figures in a press note here.
Holdings fell to 38,689 BTC. That’s down ~28% from 53,822. Data is shown on BitcoinTreasuries.net.
Proceeds fund a $1B buyback. Notes mature in 2030 and 2031. Closings are slated for Mar 30–31. Details are in the same release.

Bitcoin traded below $69,000. The dip followed the disclosure.
