MEXC adds 1,000 BTC to Guardian Fund, holdings reach 2,000 BTC

Mutsamudu, Comoros, October 1, 2026 – MEXC added 1,000 BTC to its Guardian Fund, the second major BTC allocation this year. The move aligns with MEXC’s plan announced in May to scale the fund from $100 million to $500 million over two years to address evolving security risks and user protection needs.

Following the allocation, the Guardian Fund holds 100 million USDT and 2,000 BTC. The fund combines liquid USDT with Bitcoin as a long-term reserve component. MEXC positions the fund as a continuously reinforced protection system tied to changes in user base, asset coverage, and operating environment.

MEXC discloses on-chain wallet addresses for verification and states the additional BTC supports progress toward the $500 million target while it invests in security, transparency, and risk-management infrastructure.

CEO Vugar Usi emphasized ongoing commitment to user protection and the need for resources to evolve with security threats.
