Bottom-predicting MVRV signal triggers as Bitcoin approaches $80k resistance level

min

Tice says the Bitcoin bottom signal just flashed again near $80k. Colin sees a make-or-break band ahead at $84k–$86k.

Crypto analyst Tice claims the same indicator that marked bottoms in 2014, 2018, and 2022 has triggered again as Bitcoin pushes toward $80,000. He notes each prior bear cycle lasted about 14 months before bottoming, followed by a sharp rally on X.

He says risk was repriced, leverage cleared, sentiment washed out. “Time alignment is a condition, not a confirmation.” He calls the current period a “window” to act, pointing to asymmetric setups via Bitcoinist.

Tice reiterates the bottom view with the median MVRV hitting the same read as past major lows. He adds that multi‑year bull phases followed when this signal appeared on X. If history rhymes, he sees 2–3 years of upside.

Bitcoin chart from Tice

Trader Colin flags an intersection of two trend lines with a key horizontal level. He assigns a 50% chance of a local top at that confluence. A clean breakout could extend to $84k–$86k, the nearest strong horizontal resistance from the prior range on X and NewsBTC.

He doesn’t call a fresh bull run yet. BTC has made higher highs since the February 6 low near $60k, and it rallied amid headlines on the U.S.–Iran conflict via Bitcoinist.

Price check: BTC trades around $79,900, up over 2% in 24 hours on Holder.
