Whales ramp exchange deposits as average inflow hits 2.62 BTC
Average exchange deposits for Bitcoin jumped to 2.62 BTC on a 7‑day EMA. CryptoQuant’s Maartunn reports a sharp spike in whale-sized inflows.
The mean exchange inflow surged, signaling larger transactions hitting CEX wallets, per the analyst’s X post. “The average BTC transaction sent to exchanges climbed to 2.62 BTC, a level that typically only appears during high-stress market moves,” he wrote in this update. A similar jump last appeared around the early‑February drawdown, per the same post.
Ancient coins moved too. Wallets dormant for over 10 years shifted about 600 BTC in recent days, worth roughly $41.2 million, per Maartunn’s second update.
Bitcoin trades near $68,500 after a bounce from recent lows.
