Santiment says XRP FUD hits third-highest in two years, precedes rallies
Santiment reports extreme retail FUD on XRP. Similar spikes preceded sharp rebounds in 2025.
The firm says XRP’s Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt just hit its third-highest level in two years, based on its social data on X. In February and October 2025, equally bearish sentiment was followed by rallies, Santiment notes in prior analysis.

Selling pressure has persisted since the 2025 high above $3, weakening structure and triggering fast exits by retail per Bitcoinist. Over nine months, the drawdown topped 63% as investors rotated away according to reporting.
Santiment adds that heavy bearish crowding often precedes relief rallies as prices move against consensus. The odds of a rebound rise when bullish chatter gets replaced by FUD per their historical read and relief setups.
XRP posted a brief bounce. It rose over 3% in 24 hours and 4% in seven days but remains below the $1.4 cap per NewsBTC.
The move tracked a broader crypto lift led by Bitcoin, after BOJ’s dovish signals eased macro pressure on risk assets price action coverage and macro commentary. Near term, no new XRP-specific catalysts were flagged in that analysis source.
