Bitcoin sentiment index falls to 10%, first since 2022
Bitcoin rejected at $74k again. Fear & Greed drops to 10%, first since 2022.
Bitcoin failed to clear the $74,000 ceiling on the latest attempt as the week closed, extending the cap that has held multiple times here.
Analyst Axel Adler Jr reported the 30‑day average Fear & Greed Index at 10%, citing CryptoQuant data. He showed the downtrend from a peak above the 75th percentile in late 2025 in an X post.
“Sentiment is now deeply compressed. For market structure to stabilize, Bitcoin likely needs to reclaim higher price levels,” Adler wrote here.
What the history says:
- The index at ~10% coincided with COVID‑19 capitulation and the Terra (LUNA) collapse phases, per NewsBTC’s review.
- Past extremes preceded sharp rebounds in 2020, but the 2022 bottom formed months after the index first hit 10% source.
Spot check: BTC traded near $71,262, up a little over 1% on the day, as reported by NewsBTC.
