BULLISH 📈 : Sky governance advances vote to double USDC PSM buffer to $800M
BA Labs moves to double LITE-PSM-USDC-A limits to $800M in Sky. Core Facilitator queued it for a June 12 Executive Vote, not live yet (Sky Governance Forum post).
The change targets the pre-minted DAI buffer and the DC-IAM gap. Both would rise from $400M to $800M if approved (forum details).
USDC reserves now sit at $4.13B. That is up 108% since Oct 7, 2024 (same source).
LITE-PSM-USDC-A is the main venue for USDC to DAI conversions in Sky (proposal).
What the higher limits enable:
- Daily refresh capacity goes to $1.6B
- Serving capacity rises to $2.4B
- Fewer manual recalibrations on heavy flow days
(forum post)
Why buffer size matters:
- On May 18, 2026, SellGem outflows hit $1.75B
- On Jun 20, 2025, they hit $1.60B
- On Oct 21, 2025, they hit $1.41B
- On Mar 5, 2026, they hit $1.41B
- On Jan 13, 2026, they hit $1.31B
