If you're a US-based user, beware: availability and restrictions can be tricky. I had to jump through extra hoops to use some features and eventually closed my account. Non-US users may not have the same problems, but do your homework if you're in the States.

I once experienced with Bybit exchange a delayed withdrawal while support investigated suspicious activity. It was stressful, but I later understood the AML rationale. Transparency during the hold would have helped a lot more though.

Terrible support experience. I had a withdrawal flagged and it took weeks to get clear answers. When they did respond, the replies felt templated and unhelpful. The fees were fine but the lack of human help when something goes wrong left me stressed and considering moving my funds elsewhere.

Bad experience Bitstamp is not for altcoin hunters. If you are looking for the next moon token, this is not your place. But if you want to buy Bitcoin or Ethereum and sleep well at night, Bitstamp does the job. Slow and steady, like an old bank that learned crypto.
